Call for Complex Tables

The PDF/UA Committee is presently examining the logical structure issues raised by complex tables presented in PDF files. A key element of this discussion focuses on whether table elements and attributes currently available in the 1.6 PDF Specification are adequate to the task of describing the structure of highly complex tables. This 2 page extract from the Specification contains the key elements under consideration.

The Committee requests that interested parties submit examples of "absurdly complex" tables to the Committee for review. In particular, we are interested in tables that CANNOT be adequately described using the current 1.6 Specification elements and attributes. Submissions will not be used for any purpose other than to assess the feasibility of structuring the table.
